Summary-
* You’ll properly select, prepare and drop off your food- Proper prep is critical!
(You can choose to pay extra to have me prepare your food.)
* I will put it in my freeze dryer until it is dry (24 – 72 hours depending on the food)
* I can package your food in mylar bags you provide or vacuum seal in mason jars (with standard lids) that you provide or you can pay for the mylar bags I provide. The food needs to be put into storage containers right after it is removed from the freezer dryer so it doesn’t collect any moisture from the air.
* You’ll pay for it when you pick up. I accept cash and all credit cards (3% fee for card use)
Use the contact form on the home page to set up a date and time to drop off your food.
I’ll confirm the drop off date/time and provide my address. I’ll also confirm proper food prep or you can let me know you want me to do the prep. And I’ll let you know about how long it will take and when you can get your freeze dried food.
Note: You can mix the types of food you want dried in one batch. Keep in mind that odor/flavors will likely mix. So, for example, your apples might have a strawberry favor if you combine those two fruits in the same batch. Liquids will obviously need to be in their own tray, but you can have all sorts of ‘bits’ mixed in your liquid.
